MASUNAGA, designed by Kenzo Takada, is a collaboration between MASUNAGA, a leading Japanese eyewear manufacturer, and the world-renowned Japanese designer Kenzo Takada.
Since its launch in 2014 in Paris, France, the collaboration has created high-quality luxury eyewear by combining vintage-inspired elements with fashion-forward contemporary design. The collection was unveiled in January 2020 in Paris at Maison & Objet, the leading home décor fair, and is a colourful ode to life.
Amaryllis is a Cat-Eye shaped pair of sunglasses with all metal construction. Double Rim fromt design with spaces at the bridge and the upper sim is inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of space. It features newly designed temple created with a motif from a lorgnette handle that was popular in the 19th century. Engraved arabesque patterns on both front and back add beautiful vintage elements to the frame.
