MASUNAGA, designed by Kenzo Takada, is a collaboration between MASUNAGA, a leading Japanese eyewear manufacturer, and the world-renowned Japanese designer Kenzo Takada.
Since its launch in 2014 in Paris, France, the collaboration has created high-quality luxury eyewear by combining vintage-inspired elements with fashion-forward contemporary design. The collection was unveiled in January 2020 in Paris at Maison & Objet, the leading home décor fair, and is a colourful ode to life.
The MASUNAGA x KENZO LILAC is a front constructed in three layers (acetate, titanium, and acetate) with stunning beauty in generous proportions. By trimming down the plastic on the outer shape, the profile remains thin, but the frame feels solid and substantial. This expertly crafted frame maintains the tradition of mastery dating back to eyewear pioneer Gozaemon Masunaga in 1905.
