A stylish combination of vintage and fashion

One of the most famous fashion designers Kenzo Takada, who unfortunately passed away in 2020, collaborates with Masunaga Optical the leading Japanese manufacturing eyewear since 1905. Since its launch in 2014 Paris France, the collaboration has created high-quality luxury eyewear through combining vintage inspired elements with fashion forward contemporary design. Using titanium, acetate and 18 karat gold for limited editions. The delicate engraving on the bridge, the bar and the temples are reminiscent of 1920 jewelry details. The temples are fashioned from Masunaga’s highly skilled technology using pure titanium. And the original rim is designed with the star motif from Masunaga GMS and the campanule flower emblem of Kenzo Takada’s family. All these details are achieved by techniques and craftsmanship of MASUNAGA.

IK三 is a new luxury home and lifestyle brand founded by Kenzo Takada. The collection was unveiled in January 2020 in Paris at Maison & Objet the leading home décor fair. The K三 is a colorful ode to life. With the support of his team, the French at heart Japanese designer has created furniture, home textiles and accessories inspired by Eastern and Western aesthetics with a modern twist. Even after Kenzo Takada’s demise, his team continues the work and perpetuates the collection of K三.

The collaboration with Masunaga was also reaffirmed and will continue under the new name: MASUNAGA | K三 .
